To be a snow maiden
Children cannot imagine the New Year holiday without the beautiful Snow Maiden, and adults rarely think about how they become Snow Maiden. One of our heroines married Santa Claus, the second is a professional actress, who acts as a Snow Maiden only in orphanages, the third was a Snow Maiden only for one day, and the fourth not only entertains, but also educates children. Try to guess who is who!
Evgenia ABROSIMOVA, 24 years old; Snow Maiden for one day
Several years ago, I realized that I had stopped loving the New Year: I associated it with endless troubles, mass hysteria and multi-colored plastic tinsel. And then one day, shortly before the holidays, I was standing at my subway station, busy with my own gloomy thoughts. I noticed right away that he was holding some papers in his hands and muttering something under his breath, he looked rather lost. We drove several stops in the same car, and before leaving, he handed me his phone number and said: “I would like you to try yourself for the role of the Snow Maiden. I am sure you will succeed. ”The train went on, and I thought: as a child, I really loved the New Year. And what could be better than giving a smile and joy to a child and at the same time catching the sensation of a holiday? A few days later I called Slava and agreed to become a Snow Maiden - just for one day. During this day, we traveled to several families, and my feelings remained truly unforgettable. It struck me that the children are so responsive and open. They say everything as it is! I work in the field of advertising and so I got out of it ... We gave children presents, had round dances, and sometimes it seemed to me that I actually saw a forest, and snow caps, and a running bunny ... By evening, I realized that I had a holiday my soul nevertheless came: I wanted to enter this year with a smile. And so glad that I agreed to this adventure!
Elena SALINA, 50 years old, Be sure to try to introduce an educational moment
That was 20 years ago. I worked then in a small publishing house. And then one day our farm manager took out the costumes of Santa Claus and the Snow Maiden from the back, left from time immemorial. And they decided: let the children of our employees congratulate you! And so we formed two shift teams - according to Moroz and Snegurka in each. There was a good Soviet incentive: each had three days off. At first, we were all afraid: that the child wouldn’t believe us, that he wouldn’t want to sing a song, that we would mix it up, that Grandfather’s mustache would come unstuck - but it’s not enough that could happen! But the first five-year-old boy and his parents looked at us with such enthusiasm that they completely melted all our doubts. Then everything went by itself: a kid who was numbed from unexpected happiness - a touchingly smiling relative - a rhyme or song for a present - a solo number of Grandfather and granddaughter ... and a constant feast! It’s good that I got a strong Grandfather who once served in the Navy. He just quacked, pulling off a fake beard and drinking another pile, but he did a great job. Gradually, we developed our tricks. If my parents didn’t have time to give the gift in advance, I went into the apartment first and distracted the child while my father or mother stuffed a “surprise” into the Grandfather’s bag. We previously asked what adults are unhappy to ask at the right time: “Why are you, Masha, dragging a cat by the tail ?!” Masha immediately swore that she was more than no, amazed at the insight of a fabulous guest. We were not afraid of anything anymore. No traffic cops - well, who dare to slow down Frost, hurrying to the children! Not a dozen kids instead of one: “You see, the neighbors asked their children to congratulate them too ...”
Zhanna Vorobyeva, 29, actress, acts as the Snow Maiden only in orphanages
I’m a professional actress, and five years ago my friends and I decided to help orphanages. Moscow orphanages are supported by the city, while things are much worse in the provinces. Therefore, our choice fell on the orphanage and boarding school for children with developmental delays in the Kaluga region. I will not say that it was easy to go to the orphanage. In addition, it was my first ever performance in the costume of the Snow Maiden. The orphanage suddenly smelled like a holiday at home: there was a live tree, everyone was fussing, they cut snowflakes from napkins. At first, the kids received us incredulously and took a wait and see attitude. “The sponsors have arrived!” - we heard this phrase often enough. But gradually we managed to gain the trust of the guys, even make friends with them. The basis of our performances is always the game between the audience and the actors. We are used to the fact that the kid vyingly climbs onto the stage. Here the children were silent, as if waiting for a trick. It was very difficult to establish emotional contact, but we did it. At the end of the “Christmas tree” there was no end to those who wanted to read a poem or tell a story. The next year I went there again. It turned out that the guys were waiting for the Snow Maiden from last winter! They themselves gave us presents, staged scenes based on Christmas stories, prepared a treat. They even kept a secret with us, asked for advice - because they lack old friends so much. I tried to explain that reading books is good, and stealing money is bad. These are commonplace things, but if I could change the fate of even one child for the better, it means that I did not come in vain. Making the youngest ones believe in a fairy tale is not difficult. It is difficult then to explain to them where this fairy tale ends and real life begins.
Ksenia BOLSHAKOVA, 28 years old; Married Santa Claus
I have been working as a Snow Maiden for a long time, and I had a lot of Santa Clauses, but somehow I was not lucky with them. Either the men came across irresponsible, or the drinkers. Once in a theater, my friends introduced me to Slava. I immediately felt that this was my man. He had a beard and long hair, but I always liked those. It turned out that he moonlights as Santa Claus. We exchanged phones, but both were busy - we never met. And before the holidays, I was looking for a new Santa Claus. She began to ring up her friends, and dialed Slavin number. He agreed. And on December 31 we went to the call together. They handed gifts to the children, after which Slava went away on business, and I remained to entertain the children. The next day Slava called and offered to arrange another New Year - for the two of us. I knew that Slava came from Voronezh, graduated from the Yaroslavl Acting School and works at the Puppet Theater. But it turned out that he had nowhere to live, and the theater allocated a poor actor a room in the basement! When I went down the stairs, I realized that I was in a fairy tale: a variety of dolls hung on the walls - goblin, tiger, Baba Yaga. Glory said that the theater itself was located on the second floor of the building, and there were workshops and office premises in the basement. My Santa Claus set a festive table for us, prepared a delicious dinner, and placed lighted candles around the room. After dinner, he gave me a concert: he played the button accordion, sang songs, read poetry. He told me that he had time to try so many professions - from the singer in the chapel to the dentist. Since that evening, Slava and I began to meet together for three years. I can say that I am happy: now I have a beloved husband and a beautiful Santa Claus!
